Route 50 was originally named Eevee's HQ, a Pokemon fansite owned by Kat, originally known as Eeveechan. During the next few years, the community expanded and grew, eventually reaching the point that Kat decided that the site should "expand beyond the concept of Eevee." On June 12, 2010, the site was transferred from eeveeshq.com, and route50.net was opened to the public. Route 50 continues to be a peaceful community for Pokemon fans to gather and converse.
